Much like the recent storm tore through the north-west the previous evening, the home side swept United away at the their home ground. It was a convincing three goal triumph for their manager's side owing to goals from Knaak, Bunny Shaw and Hemp. It was a display that clearly signaled their title credentials as they reinforced their standing at the league summit.

Consecutive Defeats for Manchester United

This result marked consecutive Women's Super League defeats for the United manager's side for the first time since May 2024, leaving them a sizable gap off the top team with their title hopes severely dented.

United’s capability to balance domestic and European football with a limited squad has been a frequently analyzed subject since they qualified for the European competition.
